Plot Speaks Connect

Privacy

What Plot Speaks keeps, and what it doesn't.

Plot Speaks is run by Volocent Labs LLC. There are no accounts and no ads. Here is everything we store.

Last updated 16 October 2026.

Your conversation

Your chat stays with your assistant's company (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT, and so on), under that company's privacy terms. Plot Speaks never hears your voice or sees the conversation. It only receives what your assistant sends when it uses a Plot Speaks tool.

When you play through the connector

We record anonymous play data, to learn which stories work:

We don't store your name, your account, transcripts, or your IP address with any of this.

When you submit a story

If you use submit_story, we store the story, its answer key, the name you chose to be credited as (a pen name is fine), the results of our automated content checks, a generated cover image, and the contact details you choose to give (optional, seen only by the reviewer). You get a claim code to withdraw or update it later. To limit submissions to a few a day, we keep a salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself. A person reviews every submission. If it's approved, the story is published under CC BY-NC 4.0 with your credit name; your contact details never are.

This website

No sign-in, no ads, no analytics scripts and no tracking cookies. The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers for them. Plot Speaks is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes every request and keeps short-lived operational logs.

How long we keep it

Deletion is automatic:

WhatHow long
Play logs (stories started, accusations, cues)90 days, then deleted automatically.
RatingsThe stars and the spoiler answer are kept. Any comment is deleted after 90 days.
Rate-limit records (the salted IP hash)2 days, then deleted.
Rejected submissions90 days, then deleted.
Approved stories and their credit nameFor as long as the story is published.

You can withdraw a story you submitted at any time with its claim code: ask your assistant to withdraw it, with Plot Speaks connected.

Questions or removal

Open an issue on GitHub. Issues are public, so don't post personal details there: give the story title or roughly when you played, and we'll follow up.
